The all-loving God, Who watches over His creation and is unlimited in knowledge and power, would have prevented the “tragedy” in Eden had it not been useful to His benevolent purpose. Instead, He allowed the stage to be set, knowing full well what His creature would do. The New Testament reveals that every event was carefully planned before God ever put His hand to clay – everything, including the death and resurrection of Christ for the redemption and restoration of mankind – all was planned before the foundation of the world, as is clearly stated in the Scriptures (Ephesians 1:4; I Peter 1:20).
